# Getting Started

New players set up a wallet and obtain a Character before building a formation to play BOUNTYKINDS.

### STEP 1

Prepare a Binance Smart Wallet (Metamask recommended).

### STEP 2

If you do not intend to draw the GACHA, skip Step 2.

Visit the website (<https://bountykinds.com/>) and press **GACHA**. Draws are paid for in YU. Once your Character appears, you are free to claim it.

For those who received Characters or sent their NFTs from an external wallet, enter your in-game portfolio by pressing the right side of your wallet address, and claim your NFTs from there.

※ Gas fees are required when doing the GACHA and when claiming your NFTs.

### STEP 3

Visit the site (<https://bountykinds.com/>) and press **PLAY GAME**.

### STEP 4

Choose the Characters you own, or rent Characters from the system. Rented Characters are held for an unlimited period and can be purchased outright with YU at any time. See [Character Rental](/free-to-earn-systems/character-rental.md).

### STEP 5

Build a formation and start playing. A formation requires one Leader and can hold up to two additional Characters. See [Battle System](/play-games/battle-system.md).

\*Players who have been participating since the alpha phase can continue to play with that account.
