### How Tribes Are Used

**Skills and Passives**\
Skills and Passives can specify a Tribe, such as dealing increased damage to Machine Characters or reducing damage taken from Demon Characters. See [Skills](/game-fi-elements/skills.md) and [Passives](/game-fi-elements/passives.md).

**Battle Tactics**\
A Tribe can be set as a targeting condition in a Character's Tactics settings. See [Battle Tactics](/play-games/battle-tactics.md).

**Bounty Drive**\
The Bounty Drive effect available to a team is determined by the Tribe of the Leader set in the formation. Each of the seven effects is assigned to a specific set of Tribes. Anomaly Leaders can access all of them. See [Battle System](/play-games/battle-system.md).

**Re:Core**\
Combining Characters of different Tribes produces a Character of a third Tribe. Dragon, Nature, Material, and Anomaly Characters are obtained this way. The full combination table is documented in Re:Core.
