# Arena

The Arena is the PvP content of BOUNTYKINDS. Winning earns BWP and losing forfeits it.

The Arena is the PvP content of BOUNTYKINDS. Players fight against formations set by other players. Winning earns BWP and losing forfeits BWP.

### Entering the Arena

Entry requires registering a formation. Registration itself begins participation.

A formation can be registered with as few as one Character and can be changed at any time, but once registered, at least one Character must always remain in it. Characters registered in an Arena formation cannot be used in other content.

### Ranks and Groups

Rank rises with total BWP, starting at D3 and progressing through D2, D1, C3 and upward. SS rank is held by the top three players in each Arena.

Separately from Rank, players are sorted into Groups by Group Points, starting at Bronze and progressing through Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. Group Points rise and fall with wins and losses during a season, so a player who reaches Diamond can fall back to Bronze after enough losses. Players can see which Group they belong to, but not their Group Points.

When a season changes, Rank restarts two stages lower — an S rank player restarts from B3, and a B rank player from D3. Groups restart one stage lower — Diamond restarts from Platinum, and Gold from Silver.

**BWP Required per Rank**

| Rank | BWP Required |
| ---- | ------------ |
| D3 | 300 |
| D2 | 300 |
| D1 | 300 |
| C3 | 800 |
| C2 | 800 |
| C1 | 800 |
| B3 | 1,500 |
| B2 | 1,500 |
| B1 | 1,500 |
| A3 | 3,000 |
| A2 | 3,000 |
| A1 | 3,000 |
| S3 | 5,000 |
| S2 | 5,000 |
| S1 | 5,000 |

**Group Points**

Group Points rise on a win and fall on a loss. Additional Group Points are granted for defeating a player in a higher Group, and for a winning streak of three or more.

### Matchmaking

Matches are made within the same Rank band and the same Group band.

In Rank bands with few players, CPU formations are also matched to prevent the same players from being matched repeatedly. The D rank band is entirely CPU.

To change an opponent, players use Refresh Points. Three Refresh Points are distributed daily, allowing three free changes. Beyond that, each change costs YU. The number of refreshes available is capped per Rank.

### FFE Cost and BWP Earned

| Rank | FFE Cost | Attacking BWP (Win / Loss) | Defending BWP (Win / Loss) | Refresh Cap |
| ---- | -------- | -------------------------- | -------------------------- | ----------- |
| D | 2 | 50 / 0 | 25 / 0 | Unlimited |
| C | 2 | 50 / −10 | 25 / −5 | 40 |
| B | 4 | 40 / −15 | 20 / −7 | 30 |
| A | 4 | 40 / −20 | 20 / −10 | 20 |
| S | 6 | 30 / −20 | 15 / −10 | 10 |

### Defending

From the moment a player enters the Arena, they can be attacked by other players at C rank and above.

When attacked, BWP still rises or falls with the result, but Group Points do not change. The player is notified on the home screen when they have been attacked, and when an equipped Augment has been consumed and disappeared. The formation that attacked can be reviewed afterwards.

A Character defending with an Augment equipped consumes one Augment per battle when attacked, the same as when attacking. Auto-equip also applies here. If several copies of the equipped Augment are held, the player can choose whether to keep equipping them until none are left or to use only the equipped copy. See [Augments](/game-fi-elements/augments.md).

### Ranking

The top 10 players are displayed in the ranking and receive special rewards. These rewards are updated every season and are announced through the official channels at the start of each season.

### Rewards

Rewards are earned through the number of Arena battles fought, regardless of whether those battles were won or lost. Rewards must be claimed by the player, and are forfeited if the player does not log in.

There are four reward types: Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Season. Daily, Weekly, and Monthly rewards are fixed and listed below. Season rewards are updated every season and are announced through the official channels at the start of each season.

**Minimum Battles Required**

| Reward | Minimum Battles |
| ------- | --------------- |
| Daily | 5 |
| Weekly | 35 |
| Monthly | 150 |

### Casual Arena

The Casual Arena is entered by registering a formation in the same way as the Arena. Unlike the Arena, Characters registered in the Casual Arena can still be used in other content.

The rules of the Casual Arena change each season. Examples include restricting entry to Uncommon and Common Characters, restricting entry to a single Tribe, or running 1v1 matches.

The Casual Arena has no Ranks or Groups. A hidden casual rating is maintained instead, and matches cost 1 FFE and are made against players of a similar rating. There is no penalty for losing.

Rewards are earned at milestones for the number of matches played and the number won. Reward contents are shown on the Casual Arena screen in game.
